Missoula Red Shoe Ball Dinner and Auction

Tonight was the first time, I think, that I had Shepard’s Pie. I must’ve had it elsewhere before and just don’t recall it or just didn’t know what it was when I had it but it was delicious! What more can you ask for, meat, potatoes, cheese… yum. lol – my girlfriend Kim made it for St. Patty’s Day and we had dinner at her place.

I attended the Red Shoe Ball last Friday, a benefit auction dinner for the Ronald McDonald House, a house for families to stay when they have to travel far distances for hospital care that needs a long period of time to treat (that I know of). Anyways, it was quite fun. Thought I’d share some photos, I didn’t bid on anything because some of the things were out of my budget! Dinner was delightful as always from the Blue Canyon Grill at the Hilton Garden Inn in Missoula!

Stuffed… what a Friday.

I woke up this morning at… um… lets just say when I got up the sun was highest in the sky.. what a Friday. I don’t care – I’ve been working so hard for the last who knows what, I deserve to get some sleep right? Oh well. I got my refund back from taxes (whoohoo!) and spent some. hehe.

New shoes to replace the ones that the baby dj chewed up. A new bag (BIG bag) to carry all my crap. And a couple of $10 tops from Old Navy! – Big sale going on right now – all the time really – it just sucks that you have to fiddle through the piles of old stuff to find great deals.. In my oppinion – in order to get rid of all that invetory and still make some money – they need to organize it better. Make the sales seem like they’re still worth it. eh.. ooo… and something I really didn’t need: eye shadow.

I’ve been wanting to experiment with some for the longest time and do some shoots with funky makeup – so yah!! I got a whole bunch from Ross – they don’t carry MAC or the good stuff, I know – but great small kits to start with. Well – I think these things that I got were left over invetory from christmas gift sets that didn’t sell… still good, I got some metalics and pastels and misc. Will share some work once I can bully someone into letting me do their makeup. ehehe.

Then… dun dun dun – I know – it’s friday the 13th – so you would think that it should be an unlucky day. Nope – not for me. I got great sales and… and, I found a $25 visa check card. There’s no name on those things and I called the number on the back to see what the balance is and it was still $25. Should I keep it? (Yesh, says the voice in my head…) I know – not fair to whomever lost it but I don’t know who it is. If it was a credit card – I would try and find the person or cut it up so that no one can use it until the person realizes and just cancels and get a new one but this is just a visa check card. Come on… don’t make me feel guilty. What would you do? I’m keeping it, unless you can tell me where you lost it, cause I found it in a weird place when dj and I did our long 1.5hour walk today, into town.

Oh and then – tomorrow is the Annual MBN Women’s Symposium so I’m going to be attending that with ladies from work- and then I have to go to work after that so… why am I stuffed? Because – ber and I just went out for our early Valentine Dinner… I’m glad he’s a simple man and I don’t really care (or so I say), because we blew $85 on dinner tonight at the Blue Canyon. Ohh… delicous and well worth the money but still – yeah, not something I would do every day – and we didn’t even have wine. I got a small martini, he got a beer, we both enjoyed (loved love love) the polenta calamari appetizer and he got a steak while I got a chicken scalpolini? thing. Yum Yum. and then topped it off with their chocolate moose! I know, I know, we didn’t need the chocolate – but then it just sounded so good. So – after a long walk with dj, here I am.

Ohh, did you know some planet must be in the western sky tonight. Very beautiful and bright – I couldn’t stop staring. Well must sleep – going to have to wake up at 7 tomorrow for that thing. Will let you know how it goes. night.
