Ok – so I lied. It’s not officially a Sports Illustrated shoot but the deal with this photoshoot that I did is that Catherine Thordarson, owner of Cat’s Eye Designs here in Missoula – also designer of Milkbaby Bikini line is to meet with Sports Illustrated in May to hand off and show some of her new one of a kind designs for some of their upcoming issues and she needed some photos to show the guys at SI how the suits would look on. Great opportunity for then of course to be shown to SI and also great opportunity to get some swimsuit photos in the portfolio.
We did the shoot two Saturdays ago, and according to weather reports – there was suppose to be rain and snow, etc – and with my luck, I’m sure it would’ve came true but being as it was there were several other lovely ladies’ luck to be involved; we got beautiful sunshine!! I’ve already shared a couple of photos on my facebook fan page as ‘I do most of my updates there’ (or at least more frequently but less detailed), I thought I’d share some with my blogger audience too – and I know I have been a little busy preparing for this whole thing and post processing that I haven’t had time to blog and didn’t want my readers to feel like I fell off the face of the earth. 
It has been crazy but the results are wonderful. Cat’s also going to be using images on her website and promotional materials as well as bikini flip books, so if you want to see more, check those things out, otherwise I don’t want to post too many photos up so that she can at least have some new materials for you all to glance over. (Yay… let’s hope and cross fingers that SI falls in love with my photos and want to keep me on record for future shoots and then hires me onto some exotic shoot somewhere in a foreign land sometime before 2012… lol.)

Yikes! She cancelled on me again. This is the third time she’s done that to me. Really nice girl on MM and we’ve done a shoot once, but since that first time, every time she’d come asking for a shoot, i’d set aside time and really not make any plans for a couple of hours of my day in order to prepare for it and she just cancels. What do other photographers, who do TF work, do in this kind of situation? Should I just not agree to do photos with said individual in the future anymore? or what other things should I do in order to ensure a shoot. Grr – being from Missoula, MT – there aren’t many models out there either so to get some TF stuff in is even quite unusual. My day didn’t go that bad either since I had another shoot prior to the cancelled one and it went pretty well.
[deep sigh] aside from that, the day looks like it will going get better. I’ll be heading off to a brinner thing in a bit and I’m so excited!! lol – breakfast for dinner, instead of lunch (brunch)!! I don’t think I coined that phase but you always hear people talk about brunch, we my girls and i are having brinner. hehe. I can’t think of anything to bring so I’m just going to bring sausages because who doesn’t like sausage.

is so all over the place. You can find someone in boots and someone in flipflops walking around on the same day. It could be due to the fact that the weather changes so often during the day that you see this but also that some are just more prepared than others.
Anyways while I was waiting for the hubby to get off of work (usually a 5 minute wait after i get out of work) I walked around the main oval area at the University to see what fashionable tastes there are for spring weather in Missoula, and heres what I saw.
Yeah… [sigh] the only picture i didn’t was the one of the kid in the big winter coat who hadn’t had time to run to his dorm room all day since he’d be in consecutive classes all day long. eekk! jk. Strange weather – Strange fashion.
