Fireworks Photos

One mustn’t question why we enjoy July 4th and fireworks! Just stop and stare…

I should take my own advice.. ok – I did, I took it. lol. I was there, about 30 yards from where everyone was standing shooting away because I was keeping the shutter open a bit to capture all the light and realized, this is no fun. grr… I mean, I had a great time and the photos were amazing, but that’s what happens to the photographer, they capture the moments and are not apart of them. So after a couple of shots, I thought – you know what, I’ll put the camera away tonight, and went and watched the rest of the show with him. It was kindda nice, I did miss a couple of grand finale shots of the biggest and bestest works but it wasn’t a biggy – but I got to be with him. lol. I figure – I have about 75+ years left of my life to capture more fireworks along the way… enjoy

Bloom in the Night

This past week has been crazy. And it’s now May! Yep – can you believe it? Half the year has flown by in the blink of an eye… Spend more time with the ones you love because you’ll never know when they will disappear right in front of you as the time does not stop and turns over to summer days. I was just walking back from watching the sunset and saw these little blossoms dancing in the night and made me all melancholy… so I had to catch them in action as the wind blew threw the brances. enjoy :D

Day of the Dead Parade

Missoula is so weird and cultured in its own way! Have never went out to this event before because of weather conditions or prior engagements but tonight I was free so stepped out to it and wow – it’s great fun and what a great turnout.

I keep thinking about I wish I had kids to bring to these things because I bet they’d enjoy it so much.. ahah – what’s wrong with me? I have a case of the maternal ticking clock! ahah.

I think I have to learn some more night time shooting techniques outdoors, after tonight’s night out. I keep thinking that a flash would do but I know that the tripod brings a better sense of the atmosphere and then I try and incorporate both and still it isn’t the best. To top it off – there were lots of moving subjects and no ceilings to bounce light off of. Back to the drawing board it is.

To tired to function

I’ve been up since 5am this morning. that means… 6, 7, 8, 9, 10… I’m two hours shy of being up for 20 hours. In four more hours – I’d be up for a whole entire day…

Ahhh… I thought that volunteering to help out with this night shift would be nice for the fellow – who needs to take the day off… and my selfish self – wanted the day off so that I can go and talk to freelance clients – grr.. I know – So it worked out but now I’m really feeling it.

I don’t think I’ll get up until 8 or 9 tomorrow! I know.. Off track.. I didn’t want to get off track.. but I already know that I’m going to be off a little – grr, cause I have to work this Sunday – night too. Which means [dot dot dot].

hopefully these couple of days don’t throw my body off. no more hehe for me, i’m at a point where i’m ready to shout ahhhhhh!!!! [breathe]

i can do it, i can do it. just one more hour! i don’t want coffee either – dont want to have to stay up longer than i have too. and man… shucks – i am really “doing” work tonight. we are so backed up on our commercial side – it’s not even funny. i know that some nights – the night person still has time to step away… me taking these precious 3 minutes of a break to type this out is going to pay for it later… grr.

k – no more complaining… must concentrate.
