These sessions are so fun to shoot. The couples are young, in love, and just having fun! If you look carefully – you’ll see that we barely missed the rain, and then it came down right after our session. Thanks again to the man above for showing me some love. lol – literally… ok – jk.. it was funny in my head because Ber’s upstairs in his room now (above) and he kept tellling me all day that he was going to make the rain stop just for me.

Sports Illustrated Shoot for Cat’s Eye Designs – Milkbaby Bikini
Ok – so I lied. It’s not officially a Sports Illustrated shoot but the deal with this photoshoot that I did is that Catherine Thordarson, owner of Cat’s Eye Designs here in Missoula – also designer of Milkbaby Bikini line is to meet with Sports Illustrated in May to hand off and show some of her new one of a kind designs for some of their upcoming issues and she needed some photos to show the guys at SI how the suits would look on. Great opportunity for then of course to be shown to SI and also great opportunity to get some swimsuit photos in the portfolio.
We did the shoot two Saturdays ago, and according to weather reports – there was suppose to be rain and snow, etc – and with my luck, I’m sure it would’ve came true but being as it was there were several other lovely ladies’ luck to be involved; we got beautiful sunshine!! I’ve already shared a couple of photos on my facebook fan page as ‘I do most of my updates there’ (or at least more frequently but less detailed), I thought I’d share some with my blogger audience too – and I know I have been a little busy preparing for this whole thing and post processing that I haven’t had time to blog and didn’t want my readers to feel like I fell off the face of the earth.
It has been crazy but the results are wonderful. Cat’s also going to be using images on her website and promotional materials as well as bikini flip books, so if you want to see more, check those things out, otherwise I don’t want to post too many photos up so that she can at least have some new materials for you all to glance over. (Yay… let’s hope and cross fingers that SI falls in love with my photos and want to keep me on record for future shoots and then hires me onto some exotic shoot somewhere in a foreign land sometime before 2012… lol.)
Figuring out the weekend
I was sitting here this afternoon wondering what took up my weekend and why it flew by like a breeze and realized that I had spent a whole work day at the Missoula Women Symposium yesterday.
It was a great event; I’ve been going to it for the last four years, and enjoy attending every year and networking with new and old people in town, especially a great place to network with other women and women owned businesses.
Julie Powell was the guest speaker, and boy was she silly. She would like the claim that she’s not much of a talker or anything but like one of the commenters said yesterday, she could easily become a comedian because she has that quality of someone who’s able to make joke out of their real life experience. I don’t know much about comedians but I do know that they bring a lot of themselves to the stage and that’s what makes their content so funny.
I enjoyed mostly the workshop on Disadvantage Business Entreprises and look forward to getting certified within the year here or so that I can get some of the benifits that one will get with that. There’s no real special treatmeant in getting certified as we heard yesterday, but there are other businesses who are out there looking out to help these DBEs so it won’t hurt me to get that in.
Then I danced the night away with some lovely ladies who were in town for the syposium from Bozeman. We were quite silly on the dance floor at… yes, 9 o’clock. lol – but the night came and went and the true realization that we’re getting to old for this did come and so we left at 11, when the party started for most young folks.

Me & Pearls!
Then what did I do? Oh yes – today my 12 o’clock TF shoot cancelled on me. She’s done this to me about three times now I think, so I think that I’m just not going to try and shoot with her next time unless she’s super serious. That’s the thing with TF shoots, you’ll run into some people who aren’t really serious and are a waste of your time. grr.
But I took advantage of the fact that I had all my equip ready, and dolled myself up to do a couple of test shots of this new foundation/powder thing that I’ve been meaning to test. It’s pretty sweet, although after having admire my photos all day – I do notice that I need something to cover up the bags under my eyes. lol.. no laughing, only I could laugh.
Then I went to a birthday party for a 5 year old this afternoon. Had some Khobpoob and eggrolls and burned it off with a hike up Jumbo. It wasn’t that bad then afterall, if that gal would’ve came in for the TF shoot then I would’ve wanted to come home and edit my afternoon away but the hike was a much needed get away!!
