Missoula Wedding on FB and Twitter
Recently I’ve received several inquiries from brides from surrounding area or states that are planning to have their wedding here in Missoula or surrounding area, and they’re all clueless as to how else they will find additional information about local vendors other than running a search on Google. I don’t think that that’s a bad idea but also thought, to myself that maybe a Facebook fan page might do the trick since many people are on there already, and if they’re not yet then they’re bound to be since it’s the new way to connect and reconnect with friends and family and network with businesses.
So when asked who I can recommend, unless I have worked with a specific vendor or seen their work, I can’t recommend them, so I have been able to shoot them in the right direction. So what did I do, I created Missoula Wedding about a week ago and we already have 100+ fans that are either local vendors or engaged couples looking for vendors. Sharing information and specials, I think it’s going to be great. If you haven’t already jumped on, sign into your Facebook account and become a fan!
You can also follow Missoula Wedding on twitter. Tweeting and Retweeting wedding related things plus Missoula Wedding tags (So if you want to be retweeted by Missoula Wedding, just tag your tweets with #missoulawedding).
Excited to keep this going, and hopefully soon – other local photographers won’t mind to submit photos so I don’t feel like I’m the only one promoting since I’m the creator. Lol. I’d just love to get the word out to everyone because face it – all vendors are not all going to be available on the same days so it’s always great if we all can lend each other a hand. Enjoy!
Soua & Nou’s little bundle of joy
Ber and I drove out to Spokane today to see him. He was born yesterday at 5-6am time frame. Little guy couldn’t wait to come out into the world so decided to come couple weeks early. He can’t leave the hospital until a couple weeks or so because he hasn’t matured (internally I believe) to understand how to eat. lol. So the little line you see tucked into his nostrils is a little feeding tool. He also doesn’t have enough body fat yet to sustain his body so he’ll likely freeze unless kepted in their little heating incubator thing. Anyways, just wanted to share pics from our day. Long drive back to get to work.. grr. Luckily no work tomorrow. MLK day, but you know – the Newspaper never closes, it’s just that I worked the weekend shift that I get it off. Nighty night.

Day of the Dead Parade
Missoula is so weird and cultured in its own way! Have never went out to this event before because of weather conditions or prior engagements but tonight I was free so stepped out to it and wow – it’s great fun and what a great turnout.
I keep thinking about I wish I had kids to bring to these things because I bet they’d enjoy it so much.. ahah – what’s wrong with me? I have a case of the maternal ticking clock! ahah.
I think I have to learn some more night time shooting techniques outdoors, after tonight’s night out. I keep thinking that a flash would do but I know that the tripod brings a better sense of the atmosphere and then I try and incorporate both and still it isn’t the best. To top it off – there were lots of moving subjects and no ceilings to bounce light off of. Back to the drawing board it is.
